Silver Surfers Computer Classes

Where Information at Any Age Is Within Reach

At the MJCCA, we realize that it seems that younger generations are speaking a foreign language you just cannot seem to undestand. To help you feel more up-to-date with the lingo and ever-changing technology trends, we have designed our own computer learning program specifically to teach computer literacy to adults aged 50+.

Now, you, too, can discover this exciting new world where you will learn how to:

  • connect instantly with friends, family, and even long-lost pals through email
  • navigate the amazing Internet – a world of infinite information, resources, and fun
  • purchase books, clothing, gifts, coffee, and other unique and interesting products from the comfort of your desktop
  • meet and chat with people of like-minded interests, and so much more.

And, if you think learning to use a computer is complicated and difficult – it’s not! In fact, today’s computers are easier to use than ever before. Our Silver Surfers classes are fun, interesting, and specially designed and paced for you, the mature adult learner.

The Silver Surfers curriculum includes

  • Beginning, intermediate, and advanced Microsoft Windows applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Publisher.
  • Navigating the Internet
  • Using email
  • Mouse Skills
  • Basic Typing Skills
  • Buying and Using a Digital Camera
  • Digital Photography
  • Buying and Selling on Ebay

So, whether you are a novice who has never touched a keyboard before, or a more knowledgeable user looking to broaden your current skill set, there is a Silver Surfers computer class just for you.
