THE experience for teens

Held annually in host cities throughout the United States

Each summer, close to five thousand Jewish teens from all over the US, Canada, Israel, Mexico, Argentina, Great Britain, Poland, and Venezuela share in the fun of competing and the pride of being part of a world-famous Olympic-style event filled with Jewish content and values.

The JCC Maccabi Games® have been offering a life- and personality-shaping experience to Jewish teenagers since 1982. At this Jewish mini-Olympiad, each athlete has the chance to participate in one of 14 sporting events, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Almost eighty thousand teens have benefited from the JCC Maccabi Games® since 1982. The energy and excitement make it a unique and unforgettable experience for every participant.

Team Atlanta

Join Team Atlanta for the ultimate experience for teens ages 13-16! An unforgettable part of the lives of Jewish teens, Team Atlanta teens have the opportunity to meet more than 5,000 Jewish athletes from all over the world, connecting to play sports, make new friends, do community service, attend evening socials, and get in touch with their Jewish identity.

Locations for each year's Games vary and are hosted by JCCs. Team Atlanta will be traveling to Omaha and Denver in 2010.

Highlights of the JCC Maccabi Games®:

Before leaving for the Games, Team Atlanta performs community service projects and attends an important Maccabi Shabbat service.

Teens…

…stay with host families from the host city, and are housed with other teens, sharing the opportunity to meet and make new friends all day, every day!

…meet young Israeli soliders at “Hang Time”, learn all about Israel and find out how to go to Israel on a JCC Maccabi tour!

…attend opening ceremonies with more than 5,000 Jewish athletes, parents, coaches, and host families.

…take a break from the games and perform meaningful community service in the host city.

Age Groups

• Boys Teams: Ages 13 - 14 & Ages 15 - 16
• Girls Teams: Ages 13 - 16
• Individual Sports: Ages 13 - 14 & 15 - 16
