Give to the MJCCA: Inclusive Camp Subsidies

Jewish camping is a powerful transformative experience that every child should have the opportunity to participate in, regardless of their abilities.

The MJCCA offers inclusive day camp programs so children with Autism Spectrum Disorders can participate in traditional camp activities with their typically developing friends. There are very few camp programs in Atlanta that are able to meet the special needs of children with Autism. Many families rely on the MJCCA to not only provide their child with meaningful Jewish camp experience, but also provide adequate childcare during the summer months.

With your donation, the MJCCA will hire specially trained staff members to provide one-on-one assistance for children with Autism so that their parents only have to pay the regular camp fee. This is a vital aspect to the program because many families cannot send their child to camp, or enroll their child for as many weeks as they would like, because they cannot afford to hire an aide for their child. They simply cannot afford the added expense in addition to necessary therapy, special school programs, tutors, and specialists that are often not covered by insurance.

Please make your donation today. 100% of your gift will go directly toward underwriting the MJCCA’s inclusive day camp programs that so many families in our community have grown to rely on.
