Terms & ConditionsTerms of MembershipMJCCA membership is for one continuous year from the month you join. Membership dues are non-refundable. In the event that a member moves out of metro-Atlanta, the MJCCA will refund membership on a prorated basis, provided the member provides proof of the move with at least 30 days advance written notice. Payment OptionsMembers have the option to pay in full or to create a monthly payment plan. If choosing to pay monthly, payments will be debited from a checking account or charged to a credit card each month. The MJCCA accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. This payment plan pertains to an annual membership and is not offered as a month-to-month membership option. All payment plan memberships will automatically renew on the anniversary of your join date at prevailing rates. To cancel a membership, you must send written notification 30 days prior to the anniversary of your join date. Automatic Membership Renewal Policy for those enrolled in MJCCA ProgramsPrograms offered at the MJCCA require a current center membership, unless otherwise stated. When registering for one of these programs, members acknowledge that, a membership is required throughout the entire program. If your membership renewal date occurs prior to or during the time program, your membership will automatically renew at prevailing rates and dues will be charged to the credit card provided for registration on a monthly basis unless other payment arrangements have been made with the membership department. If a credit card is not provided it is the member’s responsibility to contact the membership department and make payment arrangements. Membership UpgradesMembers at the Recreation Plus level may upgrade their memberships at any time. In case of partial year upgrades, the fee will be prorated. Membership downgrades are only permitted at the time of renewal. Membership CardsMembership cards are required for all members age 10 and older. Membership cards must be shown upon request. The MJCCA’s policy requires that all members present their membership card to personnel at the sports desk. Members cannot enter the pool, locker rooms, or fitness facilities without presenting their membership card. In the case of a lost card, a fee will be charged for a replacement membership card. Access to the MJCCA FacilitiesFor the security and safety of you and your family all children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (18 years or older) in order to gain access to the MJCCA. Anyone under the age of 10 must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian (18 years or older) while at the MJCCA. If a child is enrolled in a supervised program a parent or adult guardian (18 years or older) must escort them to and from the program location. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed to be dropped at the entrance to ensure that each child gets to their program in a safe and timely manner. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to access the Total Health Facilities at Zaban Park. Once reaching age 12, children whose families are at the Total Health level of membership are allowed access to the fitness facilities. Children age 12 and over are permitted to use the Total Health facilities on their own only after first completing an orientation given by an MJCCA Total Health Staff Member. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (18 years or older) to access the Indoor Pool or Outdoor Pool areas. Once reaching age 12, children whose families are at the Recreation Plus or Total Health level of membership are allowed access to the Indoor Pool or Outdoor Pool areas on their own. Guest Passes and FeesEach membership unit receives two complimentary guest passes annually. Guest passes may be used for one day only. Special arrangements can be made regarding out-of-town guests visiting for an extended period of time. A current MJCCA member must accompany all guests while at the Center.
ConductMembers, guests, and visitors at any MJCCA facility or Center-sponsored activity must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with a family atmosphere and Jewish values. Violations to persons or property will not be tolerated. Non-adherence to the MJCCA rules and regulations may be subject to disciplinary action. MJCCA Policy Regarding Unsupervised ChildrenIn working diligently to protect the safety of our members and their children, children under the age of ten (10) are not permitted to be at the MJCCA unsupervised. Unsupervised is defined for these purposes as out of visual range of the adult responsible for them. Children ten (10) and older who are at the MJCCA without adults are expected to:
In the event that a child under ten is found at the center unsupervised or a child above ten is found engaging in inappropriate behavior or breaking center rules, they will be escorted to the main reception desk, their parent will be called, and they will be expected to be picked up promptly. The MJCCA reserves the right to revoke the privilege of being at the center unsupervised to any children making inappropriate choices. |
