Senior Day At The MJCCA Book Festival November 13

If you’re an active senior (60+), the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is the place to be on Monday, November 13, from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm, for a special Senior Day at the MJCCA Book Festival. This year marks the 26th edition of the Book Festival of the MJCCA, which attracts top-selling authors, celebrities, and dignitaries, and runs from November 4-20. The MJCCA is located at Zaban Park campus (5342 Tilly Mill Rd.) in Dunwoody.

Open to the community and MJCCA members, Senior Day at the MJCCA Book Festival offers active seniors a variety of terrific activities to choose from, including cooking, speaker presentations including “Avoiding Senior Fraud”, presented by Lori Silverman from the Clark Howard Consumer Center; a low-impact fitness class, and more! The program’s special keynote presentation will feature Pamela Sampson and Holocaust survivor Henry Gallant. Gallant will share his gripping, firsthand account of how he and more than 900 German Jews fled from Adolf Hitler aboard the MS St. Louis. Lunch and transportation are included in the $15 pre-registration fee ($20 at the door).

To register, go to Senior Day at the MJCCA Book Festival, or contact Earl Finley at 678-812-4070, or by email at earl.finley@atlantajcc.org.
