BECTI

Our Teaching Staff

Our exceptional team of experienced teachers are the heart and soul of our schools and the principle reason behind our continued success. Their level of commitment to both our schools and our students is unwavering.

Our teachers:

  • have over 750 years combined experience at MJCCA preschools alone!
  • have a minimum educational background of a CDA or are working towards a CDA through training and support we provide. We have many teachers with Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
  • are required to take 22 hours of educational training annually, more than twice the state mandated number of hours
  • complete the state mandated requirement for continuing education through our own training school, The MJCCA Benator Early Childhood Training Institute (BECTI).
  • take a combination of Judaic and best practices in Early Childhood Education coursework in addition to first aid, CPR, and health and safety.
  • come from various countries including Israel, giving our preschoolers an up close, first hand look at different cultures.

Nationally Recognized: MJCCA Benator Early Childhood Training Institute

Our qualified, professional teaching staff receive on-going continuing education through the MJCCA Benator Early Childhood Training Institute. BECTI continues to be one of the most emulated and critically-acclaimed teacher training programs, and is now in use at a number of preschools throughout Georgia.  BECTI also offers parent education classes throughout the year.

In 2000 and 2004, The Jewish Community Center Association nationally recognized BECTI for providing a continuing systematic staff education program for different learning needs.

Additionally, the MJCCA’s Early Childhood Education Substitute Teacher Program was chosen as the model for the United Way of Atlanta and Smart Start Georgia, where it was replicated and introduced throughout Georgia locations and all synagogue preschools.
