Benator Early Childhood Training Institute

Teacher Education Center • BECTI

For more than 60 years, the MJCCA has been the undisputed leader in providing quality, progressive, and successful early childhood services to Atlanta’s Jewish preschoolers.

Our teachers:

  • have over 750 years combined experience at MJCCA preschools alone!
  • have a minimum educational background of a CDA or are working towards a CDA through training and support we provide. We have many teachers with Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
  • are required to take 18 hours of educational training annually, almost more than twice the state mandated number of hours
  • complete the state mandated requirement for continuing education through our own training school, The MJCCA Benator Early Childhood Training Institute (BECTI).
  • take a combination of Judaic and best practices in Early Childhood Education coursework in addition to first aid, CPR, and health and safety.
  • come from various countries including Israel, giving our preschoolers an up close, first hand look at different cultures.

Nationally Recognized

Our qualified, professional teaching staff receives on-going continuing education through BECTI, a nationally recognized, award-winning program that provides a comprehensive array of course and workshops for dedicated childcare professionals, preschool teachers and pre-kindergarten teachers, and parents.

Our BECTI instructors are recognized early childhood specialists, and conduct trainings that are state approved Bright from the Start: The Georgia Department of Early Care & Learning.
