Inclusion Program: Child, Youth & Young Adult

The MJCCA endeavors to provide an environment that supports and enriches the lives of all children, youth and young adults. In order to better serve the growing needs of those on the Autism Spectrum as well as those with developmental disabilities, the MJCCA now offers inclusion programming. With the support of an Inclusion Specialist, children will now have the access to the same wonderful opportunities as their typical peers.

An Inclusion Specialist will work with the recommendations of parents, educators and MJCCA staff to facilitate the best possible placement for each individual. They will encourage and support participation in a wide variety of program offerings. The inclusion specialist will strive to ensure children and their families have the best possible experience at the MJCCA

Teen Mentoring Program: Mentoring Mensches

The Mentoring Mensches program is a volunteer mentor program, under TCS, where teens are trained to work with children or young adults on the Autism Spectrum as well as those with other developmental disabilities. The teen mentor will attend a JCC class or program with their mentee as well as participate in a scheduled social activity every other month. The time commitment is approximately 2 hours per week. Mentors will need to complete an orientation/training in order to participate in this program. DETAILS >
