What types of events will you find at our pools?Here’s a sampling of our programs. Check back frequently for updated listings! Year-RoundSwim-a-thonThe MJCCA Swim-a-thon is an Aquatics Department fundraiser. Proceeds go to new pool equipment at both Zaban Park and Shirley Blumenthal Park. Anybody can participate. Participants challenge themselves to swim as many lengths (1 length = 25 yards) as you can in either one day or over the course of the week. Once you have completed your swim, simply turn in a pledge form with all of the sponsor pledges. An individual or a family/group unit can complete in the Swim-a-thon. Sponsors can be a relative, neighbor, teacher, co-worker or friend. There are many great prizes and categories eligible for prizes include:
SummerMemorial Day Pool Party
What a fantastic way to kick off the pool season! This is an annual event, so come each year and visit with friends, enjoy the pool, play games, and listen to music! Swim Meets
Come out and cheer on the Zaban Sharks and Shirley Blumenthal Park Jaws Swim Teams each week in June! The Zaban Sharks compete in the North Atlanta Swim Association and the Shirley Blumenthal Park Jaws compete in the Cobb County Swim League.
