Dance: Policies & Dress Code
Policies
- Student must wear street shoes and cover-up to and from the studio.
- Dress code policies must be followed. Your child will not be allowed into class if dress code violations are a recurring event.
- No jewelry should be worn. This is a safety risk. Girls with newly pierced ears must only have small studs in.
- No gum, candy, food or drinks (other than water) allowed into class.
- Parents must be prompt in picking up their children. Tell your child to remain in the waiting room and not outside. We are not responsible for children once they leave our doors.
- MJCCA reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient attendance.
- MJCCA is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property. We have a lost and found box, so if you find something that someone has left or have lost something yourself, please check with the front desk.
- MJCCA reserves the right to have substitute teachers when regular teacher is absent.
- MJCCA reserves the right to hold any student from entering class or remove them for disorderly conduct/disruptive behavior.
- MJCCA is not liable for any injuries sustained while in class.
Dress Code
- Preschool: leotard, tights and leather ballet shoes (tap shoes if applicable).
- Hip-Hop: shorts, tank top and jazz shoes.
- Tap: shorts, capri pants, tank top and tap shoes.
- Ballet: leotard, tights and ballet shoes.
- Boys: shorts, t-shirt and sneakers.
- Jazz: dance pants, tank top or leotard and jazz shoes.
- Adult classes: comfortable and moveable clothing and class-appropriate shoes (i.e. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, jazz shoes).
Please, no jeans allowed!
