Outdoor Pools

MJCCA outdoor pools are open May - September (see schedule below for dates and pool hours) and are available for members of all levels. Emory University SAAC outdoor pool is available for Recreation Plus, Total Health and Summer members only.

The Sherwin Glass Aquatic Center at MJCCA Zaban Park in Dunwoody has three outdoor pools.  The lower pool has 6 lanes and is 25 yards long. The upper "L" shaped pool has a shallow end and diving well. There is also a gated kiddie pool.

Boating & Fishing

At MJCCA Zaban Park you’ll find stocked lakes, perfect for fishing and/or boating. It’s a great way to spend the day with the family or for some solitary time. When you are at the lake please follow our Boating Rules to help keep you, your family and others safe.

Lake Hours (Weather Permitting): Saturdays & Sundays, 11:00am - 5:00 PM (April 21-September 3).

Boating: Canoes, kayaks and paddle boats will be available for members to use at no additional cost. Guests are welcome to join a member at $5 per guest. A lifeguard will be on duty during lake hours. A provided personal flotation device must be worn by all boating participants at all times. Children 15 and under must be accompanied in a boat by an adult at all times.

Fishing: Catch and release fishing is welcome during lake hours. You must provide your own fishing equipment.

We hope that our members and guests will take full advantage or our new and improved Zaban Park lake.

Safety

Safety of our swimmers is of the utmost importance. Certified lifeguards are alert and on hand to protect our swimmers at all times. Our facilities are equipped with a lightning warning system that alerts us when lightning is within a few miles. The warning allows us ample time to clear the pool area before lightning is within close range. When you are at the pool please follow our Pool Rules and Swimming Etiquette to help keep you, your family and others safe.

Forget your goggles? Goggles are available for purchase at the sports desk.

 

 

Snack Bar

For your convenience, our outdoor pool snack bar is open during operating hours Saturday and Sundays and in the afternoons Monday-Friday. The outdoor pool snack bar includes refreshing drinks, ice cream, and snacks. The snack bar accepts cash, check and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). You may also open an account with us to alleviate the need to carry your wallet with you. MJCCA day campers are not permitted to use the snack bar during camp hours. Open Account Online >


Goodfriend Sundays

Goodfriend’s Grill will be available at the outdoor pool every Sunday from 11am-7pm beginning May 20. Please note: The inside Meat Grill will be closed on these days.
