Outdoor Pools

MJCCA outdoor pools are open May - September (see schedule below for dates and pool hours) and are available for members of all levels. Emory University SAAC outdoor pool is available for Recreation Plus and Total Health members only.

The Sherwin Glass Aquatic Center at MJCCA Zaban Park in Dunwoody has three outdoor pools.  The lower pool has 6 lanes and is 25 yards long. The upper "L" shaped pool has a shallow end and diving well. There is also a gated kiddie pool.

The Dave Family Aquatic Center at MJCCA Shirley Blumenthal Park in East Cobb has a 6 lane, 25 yard outdoor pool and a gated kiddie pool.

Safety

Safety of our swimmers is of the utmost importance. Certified lifeguards are alert and on hand to protect our swimmers at all times. Our facilities are equipped with a lightning warning system that alerts us when lightning is within a few miles. The warning allows us ample time to clear the pool area before lightning is within close range. When you are at the pool please follow our Pool Rules and Swimming Etiquette to help keep you, your family and other safe.

Boating & Fishing

At MJCCA Zaban Park and MJCCA Shirley Blumenthal Park you’ll find stocked lakes, perfect for fishing and/or boating. It’s a great way to spend the day with the family or for some solitary time.

Sundays, 1:00 - 4:00 PM  (May 30 - August 8) We offer MJCCA Members access to the lake at Zaban Park from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM each Sunday when the lake is lifeguarded. Life jackets are required for all participants and are provided at the dock.

Forget your goggles? Goggles are available for purchase at the sports desk.

 

 

Snack Bars
Zaban Park Only

For your convenience, our outdoor pool snack bar is open during operating hours Saturday and Sundays and in the afternoons Monday-Friday. The outdoor pool snack bar includes refreshing drinks, ice cream, and snacks. The snack bar accepts cash, check and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). You may also open an account with us to alleviate the need to carry your wallet with you. MJCCA day campers are not permitted to use the snack bar during camp hours. Goodfriend Sundays

Goodfriend’s Grill will be available at the outdoor pool every Sunday from 11am-7pm beginning May 16. Please note: The inside Meat Grill will be closed on these days.
