Whether you are an adult or are looking for swim lessons for your child, we have the right lesson for your specific need. Our instructors are all WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certified and follow the latest state-of-the-art techniques, incorporated with traditional favorites. We strongly adhere to American Red Cross teaching methods and guidelines. Swim Diaper PolicyThe MJCCA requires all children under the age of 4 – or who are not fully potty trained – to wear a disposable swim diaper under a reusable polyester / cotton (machine washable) swim diaper. Non-disposable swim diapers provide a tighter fit, which helps avoid lengthy pool closures due to accidents. Both diapers MUST be worn underneath a swimsuit. If the above policy is not adhered to, children will not be permitted to enter the pool. Swim Diapers can be purchased at the MJCCA Sports Desk and Weinstein Preschool front desk. All MJCCA aquatics instructors are trained in providing consistent, exemplary swimming techniques. Lessons can be arranged to accommodate specific needs. Mommy, Daddy & Me Group Swim
Parents, this is a fabulous way to introduce your child to water in a fun, safe, and educational environment. In your reassuring arms your child will gain pre-swimming skills such as floating, kicking and blowing bubbles. Did you know that water exercise is also excellent for your child's gross motor skills? Classes are small and friendly with up to eight participants. Requirements: Parents or caregiver must go in the water with their child, and children must wear swim diapers. Group LessonsClasses meet once a week. Students are group by age and ability level, and receive a certificate upon completion. The minimum number of participants for a group class to run is 3 and the maximum number is 5. Group classes are for children ages 3-5 years. Participants must be a MJCCA Total Health Member or Recreation Plus Member to participate. MJCCA Preschool students may participate at the Program Plus level for preschool classes & private lessons.
