Why Should I Join BBYO?

Connect…

BBYO is a youth movement that brings together thousands of Jewish teens from diverse Jewish backgrounds and with many varied interests. From non-practicing to traditional Jews, from America to Australia, from artists to athletes, BBYO offers a place for all Jewish teens to build lifelong friendships within a community that feels like a safe, comfortable home.

Grow…

Escape from the stresses of daily life to an experience unlike any other - to a place where you call the shots. At BBYO, you do not choose from a calendar of events planned by an adult staff. Here, you are empowered to lead your peers and serve your community because all of our programs are youth-led. Volunteer advisors and staff members are simply there to offer encouragement and support.

Discover…

BBYO is anything and everything you want it to be. At BBYO, you can socialize, lead a chapter, volunteer in our community, enjoy the outdoors, join a BBYO sports league, learn more about your Jewish heritage, grow personally, and so much more. Just as there is no one path to Jewish involvement, there is no one path in BBYO. Whichever path you choose, your years spent in BBYO are sure to be among the best in your life.

BBYO Friends & Alumni

Dances. Conventions. Chapters. Good and Welfare. Beau Sweetheart. Basketball. Newspapers. States. Life Ceremony. Awards. Songs. Cheering. Leadership. Elections. Shabbat. Chofesh. AZA. BBG. Brothers. Sisters.

If these words mean something to you, you were touched by BBYO. It may have been here in Atlanta or somewhere else, but the words and more importantly the connections are all the same.

You are a integral part of BBYO’s 85 year old history.

BBYO has provided exceptional identity enrichment and leadership development experiences for hundreds of thousands of Jewish teens. In Atlanta, and 60 other communities across North America, Jewish teens connect with one another, volunteer in the community, celebrate their Jewish heritage, prepare for leadership roles, and travel the world together, all within a Jewish context. The power of the experience is proven through BBYO’s 250,000 alumni, who are among the most prominent figures in business, politics, academia, the arts, and Jewish communal life. Many claim they “owe it all,” to BBYO, and research shows that BBYO participation leads to powerful Jewish connections, attitudes and practices later in life.
