Babysitting Training Class
Our class features the BLAST! curriculum, developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. BLAST! is a 4 hour interactive program providing extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. It covers the babysitter basics, including feeding, burping a baby, crying, preparing for bed, dealing with behavioral problems, and discipline; first aid basics for emergency response; and a fun, easy to follow take-home guide that can be used as a quick reference while babysitting. In addition to the BLAST! curriculum is a 4 hour session covering American Heart Association CPR and First Aid training, and critical emergency action skills. Participants will receive a certification card from the American Heart Association. Driver’s EducationGraduates are eligible for up to 10% reduction in insurance premiums to drivers under 25 years of age, if otherwise qualified; and parents are eligible for a $150 Georgia Income Tax Credit. Classes are designed to produce safer, more confident, and more experienced teenage drivers. Each student will attend 30 hours of classroom training, which includes the State-required Alcohol and Drug Awareness (ADAP) training. Students will also complete 6 hours of private, individual behind-the-wheel training with a licensed driver training instructor. Questions about Driver's Ed? Download our FAQ list.
