Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Manager’s primary responsibilities are designed to grow and engage the MJCCA’s online audience by and executing social media campaigns and initiatives and by monitoring and updating the MJCCA’s websites. The Manager will create and publish content across multiple social networks and websites, and will monitor and manage engagement. Additional responsibilities include email marketing campaigns, managing Google advertising, and gathering and presenting key digital marketing .

This position requires an organized, creative thinker with attention to detail, who embraces new technologies and is able to collaborate effectively across all departments. The ideal candidate has a talent for identifying relevant stories, engagement opportunities, and corporate messages and communicating them in an entertaining and appropriate way to further build and engage the MJCCA’s online presence and community. 

Essential Functions

Social Media

  • Maintain and grow the MJCCA’s social media presence by developing and executing innovative paid and organic campaigns for multiple departments (including the overall agency, MJCCA Day Camps, Camp Barney Medintz, preschools and other programs) across multiple channels (including, but not limited, to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Manage the social media advertising budget in concert with the marketing managers
  • Work collaboratively with MJCCA staff to collect, create and publish a variety of with the goal of increasing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and engagement, and ultimately, improving member retention and acquisition
  • Build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the MJCCA by engaging staff and volunteers and by working with influencers
  • Regularly analyze audience and engagement metrics to continually adjust campaigns for maximum impact and effectiveness
  • Other duties as required by business needs  


Website Management
                    

  • Ensure content across the three MJCCA websites is relevant, current, informative, and engaging, and timely
  • Review and update web content
  • Evaluate need for updates or changes to web site structure and/or features
  • Liaison to programming staff to ensure accurate representation on their departments on sites
  • Coordinate and develop graphics for electronic use
  • Regularly report on key website metrics
  • Other duties as required by business needs  


Additional Digital Marketing Responsibilities

  • Execute email marketing campaigns as necessary
  • Update Google advertising campaigns as
  • Keep current on digital marketing trends and emerging digital technologies, bringing best practices from both the for-profit and non-profit world
  • Other duties as required by business needs 


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years digital marketing experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with identifying and solving problems
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to take direction and work in a collaborative environment
  • Tech savvy, creative, and able to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Jewish Community Centers is a plus
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong-to-expert technical knowledge of multiple social media platforms
    • Strong-to-expert Wordpress knowledge
    • Strong command of HTML, CSS and an understanding of content management systems
    • Intermediate Photoshop knowledge
    • iMovie (or similar platform) experience preferred
    • Email marketing experience preferred
    • Google Ads experience preferred
