Position Title: Lifeguard
Position reports to: Director of Aquatics
Status: Non-exempt Part-time/Seasonal 
Lifeguard Position at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta 

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (The MJCCA), a Top 100 Workplace in Metro Atlanta, is looking for responsible individuals who are currently American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First-Aid certified.

  • Flexible hours: hours vary from 5-25 hours per week
  • 20+ hours per week employees are eligible for agency program discounts
  • Indoor and Outdoor pools available

  • American Red Cross certification classes available
  • MJCCA is centrally located in Metro Atlanta
  • Must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First-Aid certification
  • Must be responsible, timely and personable
  • Previous experience preferred, but not required
  • Wide range of availability preferred

 Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patrons and activity in pool and pool area
  • Follow emergency action plan and procedures
  • Determine chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit, and record readings
  • Responsible for Opening and Closing Procedures
  • Assist with pool cleaning
  • Provide general information of pool schedule, events, and programs to members and guests
  • Attend staff trainings
