For Families Living In East Cobb County Summer 2018 MJCCA Day Camps Provide Exciting Options Close To Your Neighborhood

For parents looking for a dynamic summer day camp for rising K-8th graders, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is excited to bring summer day camp magic to East Cobb! The MJCCA Day Camps in East Cobb is located at Temple Kol Emeth (1415 Old Canton Road, Marietta), and begins on Monday, June 4, and ends on Friday, July 27, 2018. Online registration for returning families is open, and for first-time families, online registration begins January 14 at 10:00 am. MJCCA Day Camps also provides free bus transportation from East Cobb (conveniently located at Temple Kol Emeth, and at the East Cobb Public Health Center), and throughout metro Atlanta, to the MJCCA’s Zaban Park campus located at 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody.

MJCCA Day Camps location in East Cobb offers Specialty and Performing Arts Camps to suit every interest imaginable. Campers who attend five or more weeks of camp (per camper) are eligible to receive a $25/week discount.

NEW CAMPS IN EAST COBB

  • Disney Princess Dance Camp, for rising Kindergarteners, transforms little campers into beautiful princesses from their favorite Disney movies. (Performing Arts Camp)
  • Little Medical School, for rising K – 2nd Graders, brings medicine, science and health to children in a memorable and fun way. Campers dress up like doctors, learn how to use medical instruments, make brain and bone molds, and more! (Specialty Camp)
  • Little Vet School, for rising K -  2nd Graders, offers a chance to role play and explore the exciting world of veterinarians through games, crafts, and interactive demonstrations, and take home a variety of cool items. (Specialty Camp)
  • Tinker Workshop, for rising K – 2nd Graders, is perfect for budding inventors who want to learn to build new items from spare parts, using STEM-based principles to create marble mazes, straw rollercoasters, and much more. (Specialty Camp)
  • Pop Star Dance Camp, for rising 1st – 5th Graders, offers campers a chance to take the stage and learn how to dance just like their pop star favorites, through choreography and various dance techniques. (Performing Arts Camp)

MJCCA Day Camps offer more than 100 amazing day and overnight camp options at three locations in metro Atlanta: East Cobb, Dunwoody, and Intown. Popular overnight camps are returning, including the Huntsville Space Camp, and Youth Sports Academy Powered by the Atlanta Hawks (both for rising 4th – 8th graders). For rising 3rd – 5th graders, the MJCCA is offering a new, week-long overnight camp, Roadtrippin’ Savannah, which includes a dolphin tour, a visit to Tybee Island, a ghost tour, and more! Camp Barney Medintz Experience, for rising 2nd – 5th Graders, provides a great taste of what Camp Barney, one of the South’s premiere overnight camps, is all about. The three-night camp is the perfect opportunity for your child to experience the magic of overnight camp in just a few days. 

Each week, counselors will incorporate five character-building values into the daily activities of each camp program including community, respect, friendship, acceptance, and learning.
