Encountering challenges and inter-personal conflict in life is part of the human condition. Using Jewish teachings, we will practice meeting each moment with an open heart and mind. You will develop practices of noticing your experience, your thoughts, and your emotions while being more in touch with your body. Together, we will explore techniques to create a sustainable, ongoing mindfulness meditation practice.
This 6-week class is for beginners as well as experienced meditators who want to refresh the fundamentals of their practice.
Marita Anderson is a Chaplain trained at the Academy for Jewish Religion, California. She has been practicing different modalities of Jewish and mindfulness meditation for the last 5 years and teaches from her own practice, which includes developing focused attention, compassion, and spiritual resilience.
