The power of conversation, bringing people together from disparate worlds, Jewish women's salons have served as welcoming havens where all classes and creeds could openly talk about art, music, literature and politics. From their first appearance in Berlin in the late 1870s to their continuing presence today in the US women's salons continue as a mobilizing feature in society.
Join us for stimulating conversation at a Wednesday morning salon where we will travel 'virtually' to Berlin, Vienna, Paris, London and New York, to meet an amazing group of women who managed to change the world through the power of conversation.
