The Fall Basketball Development Program will be based around the philosophy of developing skills through a 1-3-5 structured approach.
1 is learning to compete as an individual player through skill work and competition.
3 is for the 3 v. 3 games we will play to help players learn to play with proper spacing and movement. Each week, players will be broken up into teams to play. 3 v. 3 has becoming increasingly popular because of the additional number of repetitions each player gets. Players will also learn Varsity level drills based around having 3 players on the court.
5 we want players to learn how to play within a real 5 v. 5 basketball game along with full-court drills with a full team. These teams will be put together by the professional basketball coaches leading the session.
Lastly, this program is meant to help players improve so they can play at their schools, on travel teams, etc. so there will be a conditioning and agility component each session.
Each player will receive a reversible jersey to bring to each session.
