An Introduction to Judaism

view options Introduction to Judaism is an excellent course for individuals, interfaith couples, those interested in conversion to Judaism, and anyone interested in learning more about the Jewish religion.
Do you want to better understand your partner’s Jewish religion? Do you have questions about faith and family? Are you curious about conversion to Judaism? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the class for you.
Introduction to Judaism is a 18-week/session course designed to teach the basics of Judaism. Topics include Jewish ethics and values, theology, the Sabbath and holidays, prayer, dietary laws, lifecycle, Holocaust, the Jewish people and Israel.
The class is interactive and taught virtually by Rabbi Brian Glusman. Participants join other like-minded adults, representing a variety of backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. The class is taught in an inclusive, sensitive and non-judgmental manner. For those interested in conversion to Judaism, Rabbi Glusman is available to meet privately and assist in facilitating the conversion process. While not a conversion class, the Atlanta Rabbinic Association has fully endorsed this class as a pre-requisite for those who are considering conversion to Judaism.
For those enrolling within the context of a relationship, we recommend that both partners participate.
The class meets weekly and a new semester begin every six months. Each class is recorded and will be made available to participants.
