Bridging Faith and Reason: Exploring Sacred Fragments and As a Driven Leaf
view options In this 6-week book discussion, we will explore Sacred Fragments by Rabbi Neil Gillman and As a Driven Leaf by Milton Steinberg. Gillman reexamines traditional belief in light of modern challenges, while Steinberg’s novel follows a 2nd-century sage’s struggle to reconcile faith with reason. Together, these works invite deep reflection on the tension between belief and knowledge through lively, thought-provoking discussion. Sacred Fragments will be discussed first. Participants are encouraged to read the books in advance and will need a copy of each.Instructor: Dr. Shelley Buxbaum
