view options Join us for a dynamic 6-week chess class designed to challenge and inspire players of all skill levels.Led by the instructors with Chess Chevra, this class provides organized tournaments, strategic instruction, and thoughtful reflection on each student’s games, their program is designed to provide an enjoyable and stimulating experience while building essential life skills such as focus, patience, planning, sportsmanship, and decision-making.
Throughout the course, students will engage in interactive chess matches that not only strengthen their understanding of the game but also promote essential life skills. Students will sharpen their focus and concentration, learning how to pay attention to detail and anticipate their opponent’s moves.
They will cultivate patience, mastering the art of waiting for the right moment and managing long-term strategies. The class emphasizes the importance of planning and thinking ahead, helping students learn how to evaluate multiple possibilities before making a move.
As part of the experience, students will also develop sportsmanship, learning to embrace both victories and defeats with respect and grace. Additionally, they’ll enhance their decision-making abilities, building the confidence to make informed, strategic choices under pressure. Each session offers a stimulating mix of tactical instruction, game analysis, and reflection, ensuring that students progress at their own pace while enjoying the timeless game of chess.
