Israeli Short Films– Viewing & Discussion

view options Discover how short films can trigger meaningful discussions and powerful insights. The Maaleh School of Film and Television based in Jerusalem is devoted to exploring the intersection of Judaism and modern life. Maaleh films are screened and win awards all over the world, and graduates of the school have gone on to create some of the best-known Israeli television shows and movies.
Join us in the MJCCA’s Morris & Rae Frank Theatre as we watch thought-provoking short films on the big screen, and then engage in meaningful discussions about the themes and stories. Films are a mix of documentaries and dramas in Hebrew with English subtitles: The Little Dictator; A Father’s Son; A Walled Garden; and Barriers.
Instructors: Talya Gorsetman & Judy Stolovitz
