Club J Your Way is a collaboration between our amazing MJCCA Day Camps and Club J teams. The Full Day and School Day options are designed for children, while in small groups, to complete their online learning requirements with additional support and participate in fun activities on our wonderful 52-acre campus. We will provide meaningful “brain breaks” to stretch our bodies and minds. The After School program will provide the perfect way for your kids to get outdoors, socialize, and have fun (whether your child’s school is in-person or virtual). We will follow public health guidelines, and continue to execute the procedures and protocols we have put in place in our Summer Days @ the J camp program.
We will oversee your child’s remote learning, including assisting logging in and out of all platforms, turning in assignments online, and helping with schoolwork if time allows. Our staff are NOT classroom teachers and we are not a substitute for your child’s education. Instead, we are here to help and support your child with their remote learning.
Boys and girls must be in Kindergarten- 5th grade during the 2020-2021 school year to be eligible for enrollment. Pre-K children will be eligible for the After School program only. All children must be able to use the bathroom independently, verbally communicate wants and needs, and adhere to enhanced behavior guidelines.
In an effort to best serve our community, priority registration will be given to families who are members of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta and families who were previously registered for the originally scheduled 2020-21 Club J After-School Program. All enrollments are subject to space availability. Incomplete registrations will not be processed, regardless of the date and timestamp. Registrations submitted without a payment form are considered incomplete and cannot be processed until the payment form is received.
Yes. A wait list for each month will be established, if needed, and you will be notified if capacity has been reached. Families will be contacted if space becomes available and will be given 24 hours to contact the MJCCA to accept the space. If the MJCCA does not receive confirmation within 24 hours, we will move to the next person on the wait list.
Club J Your Way is a monthly program. Tuition remains the same each month regardless of how many days Club J is running in each month. Charges for Club J are debited from your credit card or checking account for the current month. Any changes in your child’s enrollment schedule must be approved in advance and are subject to a $25 change fee per change. Please provide written notification two weeks prior to the date the change will go into effect. Refunds for absences or missed days are not issued.
Each registration will be charged a non-refundable $50 registration fee per child. Tuition rates do not include membership to the MJCCA nor costs associated with Schools Out Camps. For those previously registered for Club J, the $50 registration fee will transfer. To qualify for member rates, children must be part of a Family or Single Parent membership in good standing. You will be billed on the 3rd of every month.
Pro-rated refunds will be issued if the MJCCA closes (or in-person school returns). No refunds will be made if a parent chooses to withdraw from the program for other reasons. No refunds will be issued for families who choose to remove their child because of another child who is sick. No refunds will be made for absences. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If your child’s school reopens for in-person learning and you withdraw your child, we will issue a full credit on the days left in that . If the MJCCA makes the decision to suspend operation at any point in the year, you will receive a pro-rated refund for the affected portion of the program.
If your child’s cohort has a positive COVID-19 case, the entire cohort will be required to quarantine for two weeks. A pro-rated credit for those two weeks will be placed on your account.
Should you choose to withdraw from the program for future months; cancellation requests must be made in writing to email@example.com and require a two-week notice. Once you have withdrawn from program, we cannot guarantee future space.
Any member who is in good standing with the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta may apply for financial assistance through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment at https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/4LCK6. Priority will be given to the financial assistance applications that are submitted by July 30, 2020

In order to be considered for financial assistance, a completed registration form must be submitted online.
Payment for the registration fee and deposit must be received at the time of registration. Your remaining fees will begin to be charged through our payment plan option based on a 25% discount until your financial assistance amount is determined. Once you receive your actual financial assistance award, we will adjust any remaining payments accordingly.
In the event that financial assistance is not accepted, your deposit will be refunded or credited to your account after submission of a refund request in writing by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Groups will be limited to 15 children and 2 staff members. Groups will be created to keep children in the same grades and schools together when possible. Cohorts will be permitted to engage with each other but will not be permitted to engage with other cohorts without social distancing. Groups will remain the same throughout the month to the extent possible which creates the “cohort.” Groups will have their own designated learning space indoors and a designated home base outdoors on our MJCCA Day Camps grounds. Groupmate requests can be made but are not guaranteed. Program-wide gatherings will be prohibited.
Children and Staff are required to arrive to the MJCCA wearing a mask. Staff will be required to wear masks all day. The only exceptions for them will be when eating/drinking and during outdoor mask breaks while socially distanced. Children WILL be required to wear masks while indoors and social distancing is not possible. When outdoors, children will be allowed to remove masks while socially distanced. Please send your child to the MJCCA with an extra mask. The MJCCA will have extra masks on site in the case a child or staff member needs.
Unfortunately, no. In an effort to reduce exposure to outside sources, parents will need to provide lunch and snacks for their child.
Lunch: Children will need to bring a non-perishable lunch daily. We do not mandate what individuals bring in their own lunches, however, in order to observe all dietary, allergy, and health issues, children are not permitted to share food brought from home.
Snack: Children should bring snacks from home to be eaten during snack periods. We recommend at least two snacks.

A water bottle. Children are strongly encouraged to drink water throughout the day. Bottle re-fill stations will be located throughout the campus and staff will require their group to take water breaks in-between activity periods. For safety reasons, the fountains will only be able to fill up water bottles and not be used for children to drink directly from.
Laptop or Chromebook to access our school’s online learning. Students must bring in their own devices for this program. Devices should be fully charged prior to arrival and a charger and other needed accessories should be brought in as well. Computers need at least 8GB of RAM. We recommend Windows 10 and all Windows updates should be made before sending your child to Club J Your Way.
Headphones with a microphone to allow students to independently engage with their virtual programs.
Any usernames and passwords for that your child could need to access devices, emails, portals, websites and other learning platforms. You will also be required to fill out a schedule of their online meeting times and classes so that we can support their time management.
Any school supplies specifically requested by your child’s school or teacher. The MJCCA will provide markers, pencils, pens, and standard supplies as available.

No. Any items left behind that do not have a label with a child’s name will be donated or thrown away. Any items left behind that have a child’s name on them will be returned to the group the following day.
Parents and passengers are not permitted to exit their vehicle at any time. Staff will not be permitted to enter a child’s vehicle, nor will they be permitted to buckle/unbuckle seat belts and/or car seats. In the case that your child will need help, please be prepared to drive to the main parking lot in order to exit your vehicle and assist your child. Please be advised, carpool will take longer than typical.
Yes. All early pick-ups and late drop-offs must be scheduled in advance by emailing email@example.com. Parents who are dropping off late or picking up before 2:00 pm will come into the building and check in at the Club J Office. Parents picking up early between 2:00-5:00 pm will pickup at the tent located along the outdoor pool loop. Please note: children who arrive late to Club J Your Way will still have a health screening prior to exiting their vehicle. All passengers of the vehicle will also be asked health screening questions.
For the safety of your child, the MJCCA does not allow visitors to our Club J Your Way programs. The exception will be any therapists or private support, that have been approved by the MJCCA to attend Club J Your Way.
Our Directors are always there for any parent questions/concerns. All communication will be shared electronically to the email addresses provided by the family at the time of registration. It is the responsibility of the family to let Club J Your Way Directors know of any email address changes. Emails will come from firstname.lastname@example.org and/or the Club J Your Way Directors.
Yes. A Director will administer any over-the-counter medication deemed necessary. Club J Your Way Directors can administer prescription medication when we receive all appropriate medical forms. All prescription medication must be in the original container with the pharmacy label. All over-the-counter medication must be in the original packaging and clearly marked with your child’s name.
Yes. Please apply sunscreen on your child BEFORE them to the MJCCA and send your child with sunscreen in a clearly marked bottle with their name on it. Children will not share sunscreen. The MJCCA does have extra sunscreen, should your child forget to bring it or runs out. If you do not want us to apply sunscreen to your child, please inform us by email at email@example.com. We are extremely sun-conscious; therefore, we will reapply sunscreen throughout the day. Staff will remind children when it is time to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. Staff will supervise children putting on sunscreen.
Yes. Children and staff will sanitize their hands immediately upon arrival. Children and staff will sanitize their hands between activities. Staff will carry cleaning products with them to each activity to sanitize all equipment after use. Bathrooms will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day. An art bin will be created for each group to use to minimize the sharing of high-touch objects.
Activity periods will be scheduled around virtual learning schedules. To the extent possible, activities will take place outdoors. Children will participate in ropes course, swimming, boating, archery, sports, crafts, and so much more. Extra time will be allotted between each period for sanitization and bathroom breaks.
If a child presents symptoms while at Club J Your Way related to COVID-19 (fever at or greater than 99.5°F, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, and/or vomiting), the child will be separated from the group until a parent/guardian can pick them up. They will be supervised by an adult from 6 feet away.
In accordance with our local health mandate, children will not be permitted to return until they have either had a negative COVID-19 test or have been free of fever and fever medication for seventy-two (72) hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least ten (10) days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
A health history form must be submitted (online) prior to the start of the program. It is the responsibility of the family to inform the MJCCA of any changes to the information submitted on the health history form.
Parents must certify that that their child is up to date on all required immunizations appropriate for the child’s age. If not, they must provide appropriate documentation for a medical exemption. (Certification by parent or legal guardian required). Only medical exemptions approved by the MJCCA will be allowed.
Yes. Passengers in the car at drop-off will be asked a series of health screening questions daily. As per CDC guidelines, all children will have their temperatures taken and logged upon arrival daily. Staff taking temperatures at carpool will be wearing PPE. Any child who presents with a fever at or greater than 99.5 will not be allowed. In accordance with our local health mandate, children will not be permitted to return until they have either had a negative COVID-19 test or have been free of fever and fever medication for seventy-two (72) hours, other symptoms have improved, and at least ten (10) days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
Yes. Children will be able to swim on specific days as a cohort. Toys, floats, lifejackets, and other high-touch objects will not be permitted.

Failure to adhere to any of these guidelines will result in immediate dismissal and inability to return, with no refund. More information regarding behavior can be found in the parent handbook. We highly advise reviewing this with your child before the first day. Due to the program modifications made this year as the result of COVID-19, we want all parents to acknowledge that it may not be the best fit for every child. We are unable to tolerate any behavioral issues of any kind for the safety and well-being of all children and staff.
We are putting into place as many safety measures as possible to help minimize the risk to all campers and staff. 99.5 is the temperature The Weinstein School and Club J use during flu season as recommended by local health officials.
All Club J staff will be required to attend training sessions to review all new safety protocols related to COVID-19, how to follow measures for greater health and safety, and to understand the most up-to-date CDC guidelines.
Yes. In order to ensure that every participant in our program understands the protocols, procedures, and risks of participation, each camper will need a waiver signed prior to their first day of Club J. Signing the waiver will be part of your registration process.
If a person in the program (staff or child) gets sick while at the MJCCA, we will follow CDC guidelines for isolation until that person leaves the MJCCA grounds. If the diagnosis is positive, we will notify each family individually.
If a staff member or family member has been exposed to COVID-19 and has been told to self-quarantine, we will notify all families in the cohort.
The cohort containing the child/staff with a positive COVID test will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days. They can return after 14 days or with a negative COVID test.
Families who are required to self-isolate for 14 days will be given a credit on their account for these days.
The MJCCA will work with the Board of Directors, Club J Your Way Directors, and local health officials to determine if a full-campus closure is needed for a certain amount of time.
The MJCCA’s Inclusion Program strives to provide the support and flexibility necessary to enable youth with special needs to participate in our innovative programs alongside their typically developing peers. Youth with special needs are supported by our Inclusion Team through program accommodations and may also receive individualized support. Our Inclusion Team collaborates with parents, educators, and staff to ensure the best possible program placement for youth of all abilities. The goal of our Inclusion Program is to provide the support necessary so all youth may access the transformative opportunities available at the MJCCA. For new participants seeking inclusion support, an intake process must be completed prior to confirmed enrollment. This will ensure that your child’s experience is as successful as possible. Please complete the intake process on the application which includes the questions below. Club J Your Way is a fast paced environment with many transitional periods. While reasonable accommodations may be made, not all children will be best served in this environment. Participants who are the most successful include:
Should behavior incidents occur, each participant and incident is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Should there be challenges that consistently present themselves, it will be up to the staff discretion whether to put one-to-one facilitation in place or if dismissal is necessary. Should it be determined that facilitation will be require, we encourage all families to provide their own support staff. If you need assistance in this process, we can help you. Please note, if we are able to provide the staff for you, there is an additional charge of $350/week based on a 5 day enrollment schedule. Additionally, it may take some time to get staff hired in our system. Your child will not be allowed to return to the program until this process is completed. While we aim for a 2-week turn around, we have encountered situations where it has been longer.
