Mah Jongg Tournament: Bam, Dot, Crak!

Join us on Sunday, October 18 for an exciting day of friendly Mah Jongg competition, community, and connection! Players of all experience levels will enjoy thrilling tournament play, buffet lunch, raffle and door prizes, swag bags, plus bragging rights! Players will compete in three 75-minute rounds with players rotating tables after every round. Prizes awarded for special hands and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place scores. Tournament play follows National Mah Jongg League rules using the official 2026 NMJL card and 13-tile games.

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM Check-in begins with coffee
• 9:30 AM – Must be in your seats
• 9:45 AM – Tournament begins promptly
• 9:45 AM – 11:00 AM – Round 1
• 11:05 AM – 12:20 PM – Round 2
• 12:30 PM – Lunch
• 1:15 PM – 2:35 PM – Round 3
• 2:45 PM – Prizes and closing

Registration Information:

• Open to the community
• Registration must be received by close of business on Friday, September 18
• No walk-ins permitted
• A waiting list with alternates will be created
• Tournament rules will be distributed before the event

Players Are Asked to Bring:

• 2026 NMJL cards
• If you are willing to loan your Mah Jongg tile set for the tournament, please use this SignupGenius link.
• Loaned sets should be clearly labeled with your name and email.
• Please bring loaned sets to the JCC on the Wednesday before the tournament.
• Loaned items may be taken home after the tournament or picked up within 24 hours.

Tournament fee includes:

• Tournament participation
• Three rounds of play
• Buffet lunch
• One ticket for the drawing
• Coffee and pastry at check-in.

Additional drawing chances may be purchased at the door: $10 each; $25 for 3 chances.

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued within two weeks of the tournament.
