Open Play

Grouped by skill level, players will rotate partners as they play competitive games. Join us when you want to hit the courts. No advanced registration required.

How Open Play Works

• We use a paddle rack system to determine the next players on the courts.
• While courts are available for Open Play and all courts are occupied, players may play 1 game to 11 and then all 4 players must vacate the court.
• Paddles are racked in groups of 4 from left to right. A clip marks the paddle group next to play.
• When a court becomes available, the 4 players remove their paddles from the rack, move the clip to the right, and proceed to the court. If the clip is on the last group on the right, the clip is looped back to the first group on the left.
• If there are less than 4 paddles in the group, one of the players should call out the number of players needed to complete the group.
• Singles play is encouraged when the courts are not busy, but when players are waiting, doubles play has priority.
