Home for the Holidays: Family Harmony
“Two Jews, three opinions” is funny—until it’s your own family around the holiday table.
Whether the conversation turns to politics, Israel, religion, parenting, or long-standing family tensions, disagreements can quickly overshadow the holiday. They don’t have to.
Join us for a practical, interactive workshop to learn simple, usable tools for navigating difficult conversations while strengthening the relationships that matter most. Drawing on Mahloket Matters, an educational approach developed by the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, you’ll explore how Jewish tradition can help us disagree with curiosity, listen with generosity, and stay connected even when we don’t see eye to eye.
You’ll leave with practical strategies for preserving shalom bayit—peace in the home—not by avoiding conflict, but by engaging it with wisdom, empathy, and respect.
Come for the conversation. Leave with skills you’ll actually use at your next family gathering—and throughout the year.
