Canoeing at the Chattahoochee Nature Center
Join us for a fun afternoon outdoors at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) in Roswell! We’ll enjoy a picnic, learn about local wildlife, and spend time on the water.
Bring your own picnic lunch and meet us at the CNC at 12:45 pm to eat together.
Our one-hour guided canoe experience will begin at 1:30 pm with Wilderness Inquiry guides. Each canoe accommodates up to nine guests, plus the guide who will be with our group throughout the afternoon. We’ll also participate in an Animal Encounter, a brief educational program introducing one of the CNC’s animals and exploring its history and importance to the Chattahoochee River watershed.
After these activities the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Explore the beautiful campus at your own pace, taking in the trails, gardens, wildlife, and beautiful surroundings.

Please be prepared to complete both the MJCCA’s registration waiver and one provided by the Chattahoochee Nature Center.
