MJCCA Challenges Atlanta to Beat the Heat and Start to Shape Up!

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta encourages people at all fitness levels in Atlanta to participate in a fun week of team fitness challenges, earn points and prizes, and have a cool time competing and shaping up!

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) invites the Atlanta community to its Beat the Heat Fitness Challenge, a week of wellness-related activities and fun fitness challenges, July 16 – 22, at the MJCCA Zaban Park Campus (5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody). The Beat the Heat Fitness Challenge is free, and open to the community, and MJCCA members.  This friendly, competitive team challenge promotes activities that will improve health, mood, balance and teamwork. About the Beat The Heat Fitness Challenge, July 16 – 22:

  • Free and open to the community and MJCCA members
  • Registration is required at Beat the Heat Challenge
  • Participants will be assigned a team captain who will contact them within 24 hours of registration.
  • Men and women are encouraged to complete activities listed on an activity card that they will receive from their team captain.
  • Any combination of activities from the activity card will count toward each person’s daily point totals.
  • Participants will post daily activities on MJCCA’s Facebook Event page, and the activities count towards individual or team scores.
  • A winner is selected daily. Prizes include gift certificates, massages, blenders, tumblers and more.
