Camp Barney Medintz, the MJCCAs Premier Overnight Camp, Announces Dates for Fall Open Houses and Summer 2017 Registration

The Camp Barney Medintz Open Houses are Sunday, August 21 and Sunday, September 11, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, at CBM, which is located at 4165 Highway 129 N., Cleveland, GA 30528.

According to Camp Barney Medintz Director Jim Mittenthal, Jewish overnight camp makes a dramatic impact on campers long after their summer stay.

“Studies show that a more meaningful, lifelong connection to Jewish heritage, customs and culture is nurtured at overnight camp,” says Mittenthal. “At Camp Barney those Jewish traditions are woven into each camper’s day,” he adds. Mittenthal is quick to add that Camp Barney’s magic is also found in its exceptionally talented and dedicated staff, many of whom were CBM campers when they were growing up.

Four weeks of Camp Barney squeezed into three incredibly fun days!

The idea of overnight camp can be intimidating to some children which is why Camp Barney offers Family Camp, a three-day stay at CBM September 2 – 5, 2016. This is an opportunity for potential campers to become comfortable with overnight camp before they attend, and a time when kids can share the camp experience with their parents and siblings. Lodging, meals and activities are included. Anyone interested may register at campbarney.org.

2017 CBM Registration

Registration for returning campers starts Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 10:00 am. Open registration starts Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 10:00 am.
