Teen Camps
Rising 6th-8th graders at MJCCA Day Camps
Teens will find fun and adventure at our Barbara & Sanford Orkin Teen Camps! They’ll grow as an individual while creating friendships and memories worthy of a thousand smiley face emoticons and have the experience of a lifetime!
Rising 6th-10th graders at Camp Barney Medintz
Camp Barney Medintz offers specialty programming for teens! While participating in hiking trips, high adventure activities, ceramics, glass fusing, and more, teen campers build lifelong friendships, gain independence, challenge themselves, and strengthen their Jewish identities, all while having the best summer. Campers completing 10th grade in our JIT (Junior-in-Training) unit experience the ultimate in outdoor adventure!
Counselor-In-Training Programs
Rising 8th graders: Junior Counselor at Camp Marie Benator
Rising 8th graders can apply to be a Junior Counselor at Camp Marie Benator. As a Junior Counselor, they will have the opportunity to work with preschool campers ages 2-4 years old. General responsibilities include helping manage the safety of the children, changing the kids before and after swim, caring for the emotional needs of the kids, and more. We are looking for hardworking individuals who are willing to take direction from the adults in each camp group and can adapt to a preschool camp environment. Rising 8th graders: Leader-in-Training program at MJCCA Day Camps
We’re thrilled to introduce our new Leaders-In-Training (LIT) program for rising 8th graders who love MJCCA Day Camps but are ready for a little more responsibility! LITs will spend camp days doing all their favorite camp activities with friends, while also working with counselors to lead campers through their day at camp, and being a positive role model as they build their leadership skills, confidence, and create meaningful connections.

Rising 9th graders: Staff-in-Training program at MJCCA Day Camps
Our Staff-in-Training program helps teens build experience working with kids while training in areas like: camp program planning, best practices for working with children, team building activities, communication workshops, and empowering sessions on personal growth. Participants work with campers that are rising Pre-K-2nd grade.

Staff Opportunities
Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders and Older: Staff at MJCCA Day Camps
Staff members are the heart and soul of MJCCA Day Camps. It is their love, energy, and talent that provide our campers with extraordinary summers and lifelong memories. Our staff members are inspirational teachers and spirited leaders who help campers build skills, form friendships, and have the most FUN imaginable.
We offer lots of flexibility, so you can work one week, all summer, or pick and choose which weeks work best for you! We have positions available in drama, art, cooking, gymnastics, and our fun theme camps, which range from Harry Potter and Princesses and Unicorns to Science and Technology. We’re also looking for coaches and counselors for our many sports camps, including our flag football, soccer, multi-sports, and new softball camp! For those who love spending time in the great outdoors, we also have opportunities in our traditional camp, Camp Isidore Alterman, with activities including boating, ropes course, zip line, archery, fishing, and so much more!

Ages 18+: Staff at Camp Barney Medintz
As a staff member at Camp Barney Medintz, you will gain invaluable skills and leadership experience that look great on a resume and are highly sought after by employers. Working at CBM is incredibly rewarding and an amazing way to build lifelong connections. Internships in childcare, education, wellness, business, and mental health are also available.
