Rising 8th graders: Leaders-in-Training program at MJCCA Day Camps

Becoming an LIT is the perfect introduction to learning to be a camp counselor! It’s your 8th grader’s first taste of a leadership role, where they can bring enthusiasm and exciting camp moments to a regular camp day. LITs will have hands-on experience working with Camp Isidore Alterman campers. These individuals will focus on the Jewish value of ruach (spirit), bringing positivity to the camp community. LITs participate in weekly cohort meetings featuring leaders from the community to focus on leadership development, team building, and best practices for working with children. They are eligible to receive hours of community service.
