Stay fit and active while having fun in the water. The MJCCA offers a variety of aquatic activities for teens and adults, including private swim lessons, American Red Cross courses, and Masters Swim sessions.
With private lessons, advance your technique, improve your stroke, or simply learn to swim if you never have before. The MJCCA offers private swim lessons from highly trained instructors who teach consistent technique and adhere to American Red Cross teaching methods. Interested in a great summer job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? This course teaches teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills needed to work as a professional lifeguard.
Water Safety Instructor Training
Being an instructor is a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Please contact us if you would like to learn more about becoming an instructor, or if you’re ready to get started.
The Review course is designed to review the lifeguarding skills and core knowledge points required to recertify in lifeguarding.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
As an EMT, firefighter, athletic trainer or lifeguard, it is your duty to respond to cardiac or breathing emergencies until more advanced medical personnel can take over. From assessing needs and making decisions to providing care, this program provides the skills you need through discussion, video and hands-on training based on real-life rescue scenarios.
Pregnancy Water Aerobics: The pool is where a pregnant woman wants to be! This fun (and challenging) aqua workout will tone your body by using the water for resistance training. Additional benefits include being weightless when in the water, and reducing swelling. Medical clearance is required to participate. Swimmers of any fitness or ability level can participate in organized workouts, competitions, clinics and workshops through our Master Swim program for adults 18 and over.

The MJCCA’s Inclusion Program strives to provide the necessary accommodations and flexibility for youth who require additional support so they may access the transformative opportunities available at the MJCCA. Our Inclusion Team collaborates with parents, educators, and staff to determine if successful program placement is possible. These youth and their families are then supported by our Inclusion Team through program accommodations and may also receive individualized assistance. Click here for more information.
