The Shalom Hartman Institute is a leading center of Jewish thought and education aimed at strengthening Jewish peoplehood, identity, and pluralism; to enhance the Jewish and democratic character of Israel; and to ensure that Judaism is a compelling force for good in the 21st century. The Lisa F. Brill Institute for Jewish Learning will offer the iEngage Video Lecture Series, which introduces a new narrative regarding the significance of Israel for Jewish life. Together we will elevate the existing discourse from a crisis-based focus to one rooted in Jewish values and ideas. Led by a team of internationally renowned scholars in the fields of Jewish studies, Middle East politics, and history, the series addresses core questions pertaining to the necessity and significance of the State of Israel.
