Gail Luxenberg Resigns as CEO of MJCCA

The Board of Directors of the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) announces that Gail Luxenberg tendered her resignation as the agency’s chief executive officer. According to Douglas Kuniansky, Chair of the MJCCA Board of Directors, Luxenberg will be relocating to Seattle later this year to be closer to loved ones. “We are grateful for Gail’s leadership over the past three years,” says Kuniansky, who was named chair in March. “The MJCCA has experienced fiscal sustainability and successful growth in both membership and programming during Gail’s tenure, and we wish her much success in her future endeavors.”

“My work with the agency has been very rewarding,” says Luxenberg. “I am immensely proud of my achievements during the past three years, and I have enjoyed every minute of my work at the MJCCA.”

Kuniansky will also serve as Acting CEO as of August 12, 2015. The Board of Directors and the agency’s senior management are dedicated to ensuring that the program and service delivery remain uninterrupted. “Each one of us is committed to making sure that the community continues to receive the first rate programs and services it has come to expect from the MJCCA.”
