Senior Day Named Best New Program at MJCCA

Senior Day started out as a pilot program for active seniors at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and is now one of the most popular events at the MJCCA for Atlanta�s mature adults.

JF&CS Alterman/Jets provides free transportation for those who need a ride to and from the MJCCA. Seniors enjoy a variety of fun activities including: Intro to Pickleball; Chair Yoga; Water Aerobics, and Israeli Dance. For participants who prefer less physical activity and an opportunity to learn something new, classes such as Facebook 101; Jewish Holiday Cooking; History of Kibbutz, and The Packaged Good: Mitzvah Project are also offered.

Senior Day returns to the MJCCA May 15. See details below:

• When:             Monday, May 15 from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm
• Where:            MJCCA Zaban Park, 5342 Tilly Mill Rd., Dunwoody
• Who:               Open to active seniors in the Community and MJCCA members
• Cost:               $10 at the door
• Details:           Choose from three exhilarating activities, and enjoy a Kosher lunch. Activities include water aerobics, yoga, Jewish cooking, Havdallah gardening, Israeli dance and more. Health screenings and technology helpers will also be provided. Transportation is available upon request and is provided by JF&CS Alterman/Jets. Spaces are limited. Activities requested are not guaranteed.
