About Ed Mendel

Ed Mendel co-founded Ned Davis Research, Inc. (NDR) and Davis, Mendel & Regenstein, Inc. (DMR) in 1980, when both he and his Partner Ned Davis left J.C. Bradford & Company. The two firms are collectively known as the Ned Davis Research Group, and have built one of the largest stock and bond research followings on Wall Street. The firm specializes in providing custom research services to its many hedge fund, mutual fund, bank, insurance company, RIA, and pension and endowment clients. NDR’s research is best characterized as an objective, disciplined approach to investing that focuses on risk-management, staying in harmony with the primary trend, and avoiding major financial disasters.

Before starting NDR, Ed had the honor and privilege of working with many of the philanthropic leaders in the Atlanta community when he was a Stock Broker at J.C. Bradford. He had the distinction of being recognized through his selection by The Hirsch Organization for inclusion in its Directory of Exceptional Stock Brokers in the United States.

Ed is a minority owner of the Atlanta Falcons. He has served on the Boards of many leading civic organizations and non-profits in the Atlanta area, including B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO), the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, and Pace Academy, where he is currently a Life Trustee.

Mendel offers this disclaimer: “I am not an investment advisor, nor am I giving investment advice. While what I am saying may be based on years of experience, it is still speculative and may not prove to be accurate or complete. You should not rely on anything I say without first consulting with your own investment advisor and/or tax and legal advisors.”
