Book Club: A Deep Dive into Two Fascinating Books
Our popular Book Club returns with two compelling books this session. We’ll explore The Last Kings of Shanghai: The Rival Jewish Dynasties That Helped Create Modern China by Jonathan Kaufman, a fascinating history of two Jewish families whose lives and legacies were intertwined with the transformation of modern China. Then, we will continue with Ten Green Bottles: The True Story of One Family's Journey from War-torn Austria to the Ghettos of Shanghai by Vivian Jeanette Kaplan, a gripping true story of family, survival, and resilience during the Holocaust. Join us for lively discussion and engaging conversation about these remarkable books.
