Day Trips and Adventures: BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta

Join us for a fascinating day trip to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Lilburn, Georgia — a stunning example of traditional Hindu architecture. Open to all visitors, the Mandir was built using Turkish limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone, with more than 34,000 hand-carved pieces assembled like a giant 3-D puzzle.

Enjoy a relaxing, no-driving-needed experience as our bus transports JCC members and community guests from Sandy Springs to the temple grounds. During the guided tour, guests will learn about Hinduism, admire the intricate marble carvings, and experience the beauty and tranquility of this sacred space.

Schedule:

• 9:30 a.m. – Arrive at Publix, 6615 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 (near Abernathy Road)
• 10:00 a.m. – Depart from Publix 10:30 a.m. – Arrive at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, 460 Rockbridge Rd NW, Lilburn, GA 30047
• 11:00 a.m. – Guided Tour
• 12:00–1:00 p.m. – Enjoy a vegetarian buffet lunch at the Shayona Café located on the temple grounds. Each participant will pay for their own lunch.
• 1:00–1:30 p.m. – Load Bus
• 2:00–2:15 p.m. – Return to Publix, 6615 Roswell Rd, Sandy Springs, GA 30328 (near Abernathy Road). The temple tour and admission are free.
