Heaven, Reincarnation & Everything in Between: Judaism on the Afterlife
Jewish tradition offers a surprising range of answers! This course explores Jewish views of the afterlife, from ancient biblical texts to modern burial practices in Jerusalem. Along the way, we’ll dive into reincarnation, restless spirits, mourning rituals, the soul’s journey, and the promise of resurrection. We’ll even uncover the mystery behind why mourners traditionally recite a special prayer for a parent for 11 months rather than a full year.
