Inside the Hive: The Buzz About Bees and Pollinators
Join Chef James Gallo, Certified Beekeeper and member of the Metro Atlanta Beekeepers Association, for a fascinating look at honey bees and other pollinators. Learn how bees live, communicate, and impact our food chain, along with what we can do to help protect them. Get an up-close view of live bees through a demonstration beehive, commonly called an observation hive, a clear glass or acrylic structure that lets people watch live honey bees work, lay eggs, and make honey up close without opening the main nest.
Enjoy a honey tasting featuring local honey, a look at commercial honey, and a special tasting of an international honey. James will also have honey available for purchase. Come discover the important role these tiny pollinators play in our world!
