Music Appreciation 101: The Composers
Dive into the world of music by studying the masters of the past and their technique! Study a composer a week, with pieces by Beethoven, Debussy, Ellington, King, and a special Atlanta surprise guest. Students learn the fundamentals of solfege (syllables representing the notes of a musical scale: do, re, mi) and sight-reading in a low-pressure environment. "Jam Sessions" allow students to try different instruments and discover new sounds. Discover the joy of making music together!
