Volunteer: MLK Jr. Day Birthday Kits
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day through service, connection, and community. Join us alongside students for an intergenerational volunteer project that brings a little extra joy to someone’s birthday. Together, we’ll create birthday kits with cake mix, frosting, sprinkles, candles and a disposable aluminum cake pan, along with handmade birthday cards for individuals in our community.
Kelly Cohen will introduce the principles of Jewish service learning, sharing why we volunteer and how acts of service can strengthen our communities. She’ll also help us explore how our birthday kit project connects to the Jewish values of service, caring for others, and making a difference.
Come spend MLK Jr. Day giving back, working alongside students, and celebrating the impact we can make when generations come together in service.
