Please note our abridged hours: The MJCCA will be closed Sat, May 23 in observance of Shavuot, with the exception of the outdoor pools which will be open 12:00 - 8:00 pm. On Memorial Day, Mon, May 25, the main building will be open 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, pickleball will be open 8:00 - 6:00 pm, and the outdoor pools will be open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. This swim team is dedicated to helping swimmers achieve legal strokes. This is a recreational group that swims minimal yardage. Every practice focuses on understanding the fundamentals of all four strokes.
To join our intermediate team, swimmers must know how to swim freestyle and backstroke without stopping and have a basic (not necessarily legal) understanding of breaststroke. Swimmers must also know side breathing and how to perform a kneeling dive with a head-first entry. Swimmers will focus more on technique and increasing their yardage to prepare for the next level.
New swimmers must be evaluated by the head coach before registering.
