Program: Baby Stay & Play: Speaker Series

Details: Bring your baby and join in the fun on Fridays! Enjoy new friends or bring someone you know to playgroup (free play with Shalom Baby toys). This group is geared toward children who are less mobile with a caregiver (generally newborn to 18 months).

Program: Training Workshop Series: Post Pregnancy Wellness

Details: Join one of the MJCCA certified personal trainers each month for a progressive and innovative fitness filled workshop. Workshops are designed to teach and enhance your fitness knowledge and skills. Workshops are structured to accommodate beginners and advanced students.

Program: Safe Sitter Babysitter Training
When: Sundays, April 8 and April 15, 2:00 pm

Details: The Safe Sitter program teaches young babysitters everything they need to know to keep themselves, and the children in their care, safe. This nationally recognized, pediatrician-developed program includes two, three hour sessions focusing on child care techniques (including CPR, babysitting as a business, and online and cellphone safety.

Details: Join Rabbi Glusman, Drew Cohen, and musicians from The Weber School for an evening of soulful music, Shabbat blessings, and prayers. Details: Yonder is a part of the Department of Theatre and Dance, in collaboration with the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, and the School of Music at The University of Alabama. They will be performing their new show IRL - Technology Interferes with Life. Everyone and everything is fighting for our attention, polluting our mental and emotional space. 'IRL' is a thought provoking performance about navigating life in an increasingly intrusive world. You will be amazed by the extraordinary talents of University of Alabama dance students in this must see-event.

Program: Play the Play with Cat the Cat

Details: Based on Mo Willems' beloved CAT the CAT series; this play explores the often-terrifying experience for making a new friend. Using the rhyming and simple language of the books, this theatrical experience will invite out young audience to identify Cat the Cat's parade of animal friends, mimic their animal sounds, and event learn a new language! When Cat the Cat meets a new comer on the scene, the audience shares in the nerves and the joy of the experience, and ultimately makes a room full of new friends themselves.

Program: What the Health?!: MBSR with Jon Kendrick

Details: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an approach to learning to be more mindful. The overall aim of MBSR is to help participants begin to live with greater awareness of present moment experience, reduce stress and generally live life more fully. Mindfulness practices can reduce the effects of stress and enhance the ability to focus attention.

Name of Program: Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony
When: Sunday, April 15 (Rain or Shine), 3:30 pm
Where: Besser Holocaust Memorial Garden at Zaban Park
Cost: Free
Details: All are invited to a Holocaust commemoration ceremony featuring a performance by the Atlanta Men's Choir. The program will also include readings, memorial prayers, and the lighting of six torches in memory of those who perished in the Holocaust.

Program: Cake Decorating

Details: Join us for this cake decorating class to learn how to bake and decorate for the next party you throw. You will learn how to make fondant, sugar sheets, and icing as well as how to use different types of icing tips. You will be baking and learning decorating techniques and then you will put your new skills into actions with your cakes. You are sure to walk away with some new techniques for the next time you need to make a cake.

Program: Shabbat in the Park

Program: AARP Driver’s Safety Course

Details: The AARP Driver Safety Program is a five-hour course designed to teach the effects of aging on driving. This course offers participants an opportunity to improve driving and eligibility to reduce insurance rates upon completion.
