The 18th annual MJCCA Fifth Third Harry Maziar Classic Golf Tournament raised $640,000 for scholarships. The tournament, held at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, expanded to include its first Mah Jongg open play luncheon and drew 302 participants between the 252 golfers and 50 Mah Jongg players. The May 2026 event was the largest gathering and raised the most scholarship money in the tournament’s history.
Proceeds from the MJCCA Fifth Third Harry Maziar Classic fund scholarships for MJCCA’s three preschools, MJCCA Day Camps, and Camp Barney Medintz overnight camp, ensuring that families who need financial assistance can access a wide range of MJCCA programs.

A native Atlantan, Sammy’s connection to the MJCCA began in early childhood at the JCC preschool.
