About the MJCCA Andy Lipman Pickleball Invitational
The tournament will take place at the Eva G. Lipman Pickleball Complex, a meaningful connection to Andy’s family and a setting where his spirit of perseverance, optimism, and joy continues to resonate. The Invitational will feature three divisions — men’s, women’s, and seniors (60+) — each competing in a doubles-style, round-robin format.
The men’s and women’s divisions will be subdivided by skill level, allowing for balanced and competitive play, with each bracket expected to conclude within approximately three hours. The seniors division will be a mixed-gender format and will not be subdivided by skill level, offering a more social, and inclusive playing experience.
Teams will play multiple matches within their division, with the top competitors advancing to claim the championship title. Every team is guaranteed a minimum of three games, making for an engaging and community-centered tournament experience.
Tournament Co-Chairs: Robert Clayman & Steven Eisenstein

About Andy Lipman
Andy lived with cystic fibrosis, working to be a positive role model, who defied all odds to become a college graduate, annual Peachtree Road Race runner, Olympic-torch bearer, advocate, husband, father, uncle, and author.
He wrote multiple novels, appeared on The Today Show, and spent much of his life dedicated to his family’s foundation which contributed more than $4.5 million toward cystic fibrosis research and awareness.

Andy’s deep roots in Georgia shaped his identity. He was a proud graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, an active member of Tau Epsilon Phi (TEP) fraternity, and an Alumni Board Member of the Terry College of Business. Andy was a passionate sports fan who bled red and black for his beloved Georgia Bulldogs and cheered fervently for the Atlanta Braves. His love of sports wasn’t just about the games; it was a reflection of his loyalty, optimism, and belief in overcoming obstacles.
Andy Lipman’s legacy lives on in every life he touched, every barrier he broke, and through his greatest treasures, his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Avery and Ethan.
