Registration Open for JCC Maccabi Games 2018 Tryouts

Team Atlanta is already gearing up for the 2018 JCC Maccabi Games® in Orange County, and Long Beach, California, which will be held Sunday, August 5 through Friday, August 10. Registration for tryouts is open, now through January 12. Tryouts will be held January 21 – February 4, 2018, at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA). The MJCCA is located at the Zaban Park campus, 5342 Tilly Mill Rd., Dunwoody. For details and to register for tryouts, visit atlantajcc.org/maccabi.

Jewish teens between the ages of 13-16 years old (by July 31, 2018) will be eligible to compete in a variety of sports in the Olympic-style multi-sports event, including:

The MJCCA Presents Women, Wisdom, and Wine

The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is pleased to present a new program that offers an opportunity for American and Israeli women to share cultures, perspectives, and personal experiences with one another. The Women, Wisdom, and Wine program runs through May, 2018, and is facilitated by Tamar Gez, the MJCCA’s Israeli Emissary.

MJCCA Hosts a Variety of Hanukah Events

Hanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, is celebrated each year, for eight days and nights. This year, the festival begins at dusk on Tuesday, December 12, and ends on Wednesday, December 20. At the heart of Hanukah is a nightly lighting of the Menorah; special prayers, and delicious fried food. Join the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) for one or many of its events to celebrate Hanukah at the Zaban Park campus (5342 Tilly Mill Rd., Dunwoody), and throughout Atlanta, all of which are open to the community. Senior Day At The MJCCA Book Festival November 13

If you’re an active senior (60+), the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) is the place to be on Monday, November 13, from 10:00 am – 2:30 pm, for a special Senior Day at the MJCCA Book Festival. This year marks the 26th edition of the Book Festival of the MJCCA, which attracts top-selling authors, celebrities, and dignitaries, and runs from November 4-20. The MJCCA is located at Zaban Park campus (5342 Tilly Mill Rd.) in Dunwoody.
