About Sammy Grant
Sammy’s Jewish identity has been shaped in large part by the Atlanta Jewish Community. A native Atlantan, Sammy attended the JCC preschool before enrolling at the Greenfield Hebrew Academy. Weeknights and weekends were regularly spent at the JCC participating in sports, BBYO, or AJECOMCE Day Camps. Sammy spent 10 life-changing summers at Camp Barney Medintz as a camper and staff member. Sammy’s children and extended family have carried on many of these traditions.
After graduating from Riverwood High School, Sammy attended the University of Georgia, where he obtained an accounting degree with honors. He became a Double Dawg and remained in Athens to earn his law degree from UGA’s law school.
Professionally, Sammy began a career in wealth management at Arthur Andersen’s Private Client Service group before first joining HB Wealth in 2002. Sammy is an attorney, CPA, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, licensed real estate salesperson, and Chartered Life Underwriter. He brings a wealth of educational and professional experience to the high-net-worth individuals and families he serves working in a collaborative way to integrate all aspects of their financial needs and goals.
Sammy went on to form SG Financial Advisors before reuniting with his HB Wealth peers in a merger in early 2021. SG, a fee-only wealth management firm based in Sandy Springs, was recognized twice as one of the fastest-growing companies owned by a University of Georgia alumni.
Serving the community was modeled for Sammy by his parents, Adrian and Ilene. He has been proud to continue their legacy of giving back through service and leadership. Sammy has served on the Board of Directors for Hillels of Georgia, Greenfield Hebrew Academy, The Epstein School, Leadership Sandy Springs, and The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta, where he has served on the Capital Campaign Cabinet and as Chair of the Board of Directors in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sammy’s efforts and perspective have been recognized by his peers. He received the Abe Schwartz Young Leadership Award, was named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40 list, is a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program, and was a member of the 2023 Leadership Atlanta class.
In his free time, Sammy rarely sits still. He has completed multiple Ironman triathlons and loves cycling and other endurance challenges. He lives in Sandy Springs and enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife, Tracey, and could not be more proud of his three beautiful children, Elizabeth, Jacob, and Heather.
