Frequently Asked Questions
Can anyone become a member of the MJCCA?
Yes. MJCCA membership is open to the entire community regardless of age, race, or religion, and our Zaban Park facility is open 7 days a week except for posted holidays.
When can I tour the facility?
We encourage you to tour our expansive Zaban Park Campus! Tours are offered 9:30 am-4:30 pm Mondays-Fridays and Sundays. Please reference our holiday calendar for days the MJCCA is closed.
How long is my MJCCA membership effective?
Your MJCCA membership is effective for one continuous year from the month you join.
What happens when my membership comes up for renewal?
All payment plan memberships will automatically renew at prevailing rates on the anniversary of your join date. Payments will be debited from a checking account or charged to a credit card each month. This payment plan pertains to an annual membership and is not offered as a month-to-month membership option. All members paying in full must send in payment for membership upon receipt of their annual MJCCA statement. Payments can be made using a check or credit card.
What credit cards does the MJCCA accept?
The MJCCA accepts American Express®, Visa®, MasterCard®, and Discover®.
Can I move between membership levels?
Members may upgrade their membership at any time. In the case of partial-year upgrades, the fee will be prorated. Essential members have the option to upgrade one family member to the Preferred level. Membership downgrades are permitted with a 30-day written notice and after the one-year anniversary of your join date.
What is the MJCCA guest pass policy?
Preferred members receive free guest passes and Essential, Summer, Team, Swim Lesson, SilverSneakers®, and Renew Active™ members can purchase guest passes. A current MJCCA member must accompany all guests while at the MJCCA. Guest passes may be used for one day only and each guest is allowed three (3) visits in a calendar year. Special arrangements can be made regarding out-of-town guests visiting for an extended period of time. Guests have access to the following: indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and pickleball courts, fitness center, group exercise classes, gymnasiums, and lake. If a guest wishes to participate in an activity that requires a reservation, he/she must download the Mindbody or Playbypoint apps and complete a reservation.
Guest passes can be secured by calling 678.812.4060, emailing membership@atlantajcc.org, or by visiting the front desk or membership office. All guests must check in at the front desk upon arrival, at which point they will receive their guest pass and temporary parking pass.
Daily Guest Pass Pricing:
- Adults and Teens (13 and over): $10
- Children (3-12): $5
- Infants/Toddlers (0-2): $0
- Family Pass (2 adults, unlimited children): $25
What if I’m a member of another JCC?
Out-of-town guests with proof of membership at another JCC may use our facilities for up to 15 days per calendar year free of charge.
MJCCA members receive membership privileges at JCCs throughout North America. Members must contact the individual JCC to ascertain their reciprocity policy.
Can I freeze my MJCCA membership?
Preferred and Essential memberships may be frozen or extended due to illness or injury only. Memberships can only be frozen for a period of one, two, or three months and will affect all individuals on the membership account. A doctor’s note documenting the date and nature of the illness or injury must be provided to the membership department immediately, and memberships can only be frozen once during a membership year.
What if I need to cancel my membership?
To cancel a membership, you must send written notification 30 days prior to the anniversary of your join date. MJCCA memberships cannot be cancelled in the first year of membership.
What happens if I move out of town in the middle of my membership year?
In the event that a member moves out of the metro Atlanta area, the MJCCA will give a refund on a prorated basis. The member must provide proof of the move with at least 30-days advance written notice.
What if I only live in Atlanta part of the year?
The MJCCA offers a six-month Snow Bird Membership for those who are part-time residents of the metro Atlanta area. Please contact Membership at membership@atlantajcc.org or 678.812.4060 for more details.
Can my caregiver be added to my MJCCA membership?

Who needs a membership card?
Membership cards are required for all members age 10 and older and must be scanned at all building entrances to access the MJCCA Zaban-Blank Building, Kuniansky Family Center, and The Weinstein School. Additionally, the MJCCA’s policy requires that all members scan their membership card at the sports desk, fitness center, and outdoor pools.
